The first day of Riverfest this year will be Saturday, February 29, and will feature some of Vallarta’s favorite musicians and bands, including Soul Trip, Los Bambinos and Sylvie and The Zippers. Come out to support local children’s charity Pasitos de Luz at El Rio BBQ Bar.
Now into its 9th year, Riverfest raises vital funds for Pasitos de Luz, a local non-profit that helps local kids with disabilities to walk, talk and reach their full potential. Pasitos de Luz means “little steps of light” and has been doing what it does for 20 years.
Admission is only 100 pesos per person at the gate which will go directly to supporting the children. Doors open 11:30 am.

1:00 – Bad Habits
1:45 – Pasitos de Luz kids
2:30 – Make It Funky
3:30 – Soul Trip
4:45 – Los Bambinos
5:45 – Sylvie and The Zippers
In addition to some of Vallarta and its surrounding area’s top musicians, you can browse artisan exhibits and sample El Rio’s mouthwatering BBQ, along with the bay’s best paella provided by Barcelona Tapas and the perfect pasta from Porto Bello. There will be a silent auction and 50/50!
The Saturday of Riverfest will also feature a special performance by the children of Pasitos de Luz, who take to the stage at 1:45 pm.
So come on down to El Rio BBQ Bar on Saturday 29th February for a fantastic line-up of music, food, drink, fundraising and fun!
Getting to Riverfest…
El Rio BBQ is located here, straddling the Cuale River.
We encourage you to take the R04 Paso Ancho bus or arrive by taxi/Uber. For those who prefer to drive we will offer a shuttle service from the designated parking lot to El Rio and back. See you there!
