Riviera Nayarit and the Luxury Traveler in the 'New Normal' Norma Hernandez - Riviera Nayarit CVB | |
July 7, 2020 |
The “new normal” has brought with it innumerable changes, not only in daily life, but also in how we travel. A recent study by The Luxury Travel Group revealed new tendencies in luxury tourism that include the promotion of private villas and properties with independent access, as well as personalized itineraries, designed specifically for each client’s needs.
In the Riviera Nayarit — a destination where luxury and nature become one — the large hotel chains have taken everything a step further when it comes to adapting to these new times.
In addition to implementing international health protocols to guarantee safety and the best service for the most demanding of guests, the most exclusive accommodations are offering private villas, suites and rooms that are a “destination” unto themselves: spacious, elegant, and personalized, made to provide maximum comfort while reducing the risk of contagion.
“In the new post-COVID-19 era, the services the luxury travelers will seek are those that will allow them to travel separately from groups, and the personal experiences that hotels can provide to guests will make the difference between one property and another,” says Marc Murphy, general director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
Among the luxury hotels that offer private villas and rooms with separate entrances are the following: Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita; Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit; Imanta Resorts Punta de Mita; Marival Distinct Luxury Residences; Palmasola Punta Mita; The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort; Villa La Estancia Riviera Nayarit; and W Punta de Mita. The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB) reaffirm their commitment to the strategic promotion of the destination, pursuing areas of opportunity and consolidating new markets to increase the number of incoming tourists with the support of the Government of the State of Nayarit via the Tourism Promotion Trust (Fiprotur).
