January News
Well to start off HAPPY NEW YEAR!! to all of our supporters, donors, and volunteers. We have made it through our first full year.
We continued through December with adoptions both in Mexico and the US, we've been overwhelmed by the positive response we have been getting to our dogs. They are so sweet and adapt so well to their new homes.
We did have one dog that did not seem happy in her new circumstance and that was Blanquita. We flew to get her and luckily it also worked out we had an adopter waiting for one of our dogs in the same place so we dropped off Taquito and picked up Blanquita. There is a link to the video of her story in the newsletter.
The dogs that are currently in protocols (vaccinations and sterilization), as well as those that are ready for adoption, are listed in our Adoptable Facebook Album.
We are also always looking for Flight Angels to get our dogs to their new homes. We have a lot of interest in our dogs from the San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, and Seattle areas in the US. Also in the Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Manitoba areas in Canada. Please get in touch if you'd like to help out a deserving dog get to its new home. We provide the paperwork and pay for the dog's transport costs.
We made an error last newsletter saying we had received $10,000 USD from the Nancy Blanche Quillan Estate, per their representative - Ronald D Harner. It was actually $13,000 USD and we are just so grateful for their donation and confidence in us to continue the work rescuing and our commitment to helping dogs in the community, no matter the circumstance.
The La Cruz Inn continued to sponsor a drink in the shelter's honor in December and the amount they raised was $2180...Wahoo! Thanks to all those Salty Dog Drinkers out there.
Also, we continue to keep you informed on our financial status this month, our wonderful donors, and our totals of rescues, and adoptions.
Keep watching for our monthly newsletter to update you on all things A Dogs New Life.
Thank you
The ADNL Team
