December is a month of celebrations in Sayulita, marked with holiday parties (posadas), family feasts, and even pinatas. Beginning mid-December and lasting until January 6th, Christmas celebrations in Mexico bring joy and festivity to people everywhere. Sayulita certainly has its own holiday flair and fun throughout the month.

The winter high season in Sayulita brings movement in the streets and high energy. New visitors and familiar faces bring the town to life as they fill the bustling plaza and enjoy nightly entertainment. December is also a great time for water activities and sports like surfing, snorkeling, and diving. And not to mention, the whales are beginning to arrive in Banderas Bay. December in Sayulita is so pleasant and is indeed one of the best months to explore its beauty.

December Recipient of Sayulita Life's $5000 Donation: Centro de Reciclaje Sayulita



Sayulita Life gives back to the community every month by donating $5,000 to a local cause or charity in need. Sayulita Life has chosen Centro de Reciclaje Sayulita as the recipient this month.

December 3rd marks the start of the annual fundraising drive for the local nonprofit recycling program, Centro de Reciclaje Sayulita (CRS). In its fourth year, the recycling program continues evolving and growing to meet the needs of Sayulita! This year’s fundraising drive is crucial to make up for lost revenue during COVID and to ensure that the program can continue in 2022.

Grupo Pro Sayulita Welcome Party!



Grupo Pro Saytulia would like to invite newcomers to Sayulita or anyone that you know who is not a member of Pro Sayulita. Come and learn about all that Pro Sayulita has accomplished over the past year. There will also be some great door prizes, including Dinner for two at Don Pedro’s and a gift certificate for two on Ally Cat! An entry fee of 100 pesos will be collected at the door, and there is a cash bar with part of the proceeds going to GPS.

Recap: Sayulita Photo Exhibition and Environmental Event



On November 20th, the Sayulita community gathered for an environmental event and a historical photo exhibition on the terraza of Chocobanana. The exhibition presents photos of the village of Sayulita throughout the years and the changes that have progressed over time. The community of Sayulita is welcome to bring photos to add to the collection.

Three hundred trees are also available to the community to pick and plant to help combat the effects of the ongoing growth of Sayulita. Everyone is encouraged to plant a tree! Trees are available to the public to pick up at Chilly Willie´s. Please contact Ser Su Voz for more information.
