New Books for Our Library

We are so grateful for the generous donations we received in the fall library fundraiser. Thanks to all of the incredible donations, our team was able to go the FIL (International Book Fair) in Guadalajara and purchase 58 new books for children, adolescents and adults.

Being the only library open to the public in a 25 mile radius, adding new books to our growing collection is a fundamental way to keep the library current and exciting for all its readers.

Tis the Season

Hard to believe, but it's that time of year again... holiday season! We start to think of gathering together as a family, sharing a meal and celebrating another passing year. As we have in years past, Entreamigos wants to make sure that every family in San Pancho has the opportunity to have a holiday meal with family.

This year our goal is to provide 150 families with food baskets in our holiday drive. To sponsor a food basket, please click here.

Additionally, you can Give the Gift of Giving and donate food basket in honor of a loved one. We often have that one person who already has everything... Give the Gift of Giving! Just fill out the form on the donate page and we will send your personalized message of your gift.

Artist Corner

We're so excited to announce our first Artist Corner of the season. This month we will be featuring Wendy Jones Perez, a textile designer, and Laura Sigon who makes beautiful macramé jewelry. Join us for some light refreshments and get to know two new artists in our town.

When: December 9th 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Where: Entreamigos Gallery

See you there!

Spotlight on Conny

As many of you know, Conny is a member of our staff who cleans and repairs our in-kind donations to be sold in our ReciclaShop.

What you may not know is that she is a gifted poet and bookmaker. She just finished making a new line of journals.

Stop by our gallery and get your handmade craft today. Would be a great gift for someone with the holidays here!

Calling All Artists

At Entreamigos we're gearing up for our 15th annual Children's Art Festival in January and February. Creativity is an important pillar of a community - the liberty to create is what keeps us inspired to have fun in our everyday lives, to learn and grow. It is a tool of life that enables us to transform our community with new ideas.

The vision of Entreamigos is to provide the children and families of San Pancho with the skills needed to contribute to their changing communities in a positive way. Cultivating opportunities, spaces and experiences that are educational, creative and full of artistic expression is an important part of the work at Entreamigos along with many other organizations and initiatives in the San Pancho area. One way in which we celebrate that vision is with the annual Festival de Arte Infantil.

Right now we are looking for local artists that would be interested in working with a small group of children (you pick your age group) for four to eight classes, where they can learn a technique and create a finished work that would be on display in the festival. If you're interested in participating, please email info[at]entreamigos.org.mx.

Save the Dates! December 21st - Holiday Activities and Santa Visit

This year to avoid gathering everyone at one time in one area, we will be having an afternoon of holiday activities - create your own holiday card, make an ornament, gets treats from Santa and more! Stay tuned for details.

January 13th - Scholarship Graduation Ceremony

This year we have two new college graduates from our Scholarship Program! Join us to celebrate their accomplishments!

February 17th - Children's Art Festival and Gala

An evening of art, music, live auction, and more surprises!
