JBAR advocates humane and healthy practices for animals in the Jaltemba area of Mexico by promoting health, education, sterilization, adoptions, foster care and positive relationships with animals and their owners.
From December 2003 to August 2021, JBAR offered 34 clinics spaying or neutering over 11,589 animals in the Jaltemba Bay Area.
In addition, we continue to offer free veterinary help to animals and to the owners of animals who need financial support. JBAR also supports rescuers who, from the kindness of their hearts, help street animals in need that are hungry, neglected, injured or sick.
Due to COVID, JBAR has been unable to host its large sterilizations clinics which typically happen in Spring and Fall. Through the kind help of Dr. Aldo, who gives us reduced rates, JBAR has continued to spay and neuter street animals and the animals with owners who cannot afford veterinary care.
JBAR also continues to offer food for animals in need along with vaccinations. All of this is possible through the kind donations of our supporters. From January until September 2021, we paid $199,148 pesos ($12,948 CAD) in vet expenses helping animals.
Due to the lack of fundraising events since the pandemic began, our funds are at an all time low. Work is underway to increase activity to potentially host a clinic in early Spring. If this is not possible, JBAR will continue spay & neuter activities on a smaller scale with the help of Dr. Aldo.
We are seeing so many needy street animals which we want to help, feed, medicate, adopt out. We need help.

This includes options for a one - time donation, monthly donation, or a donation gift in the name of your loved one, or to leave a legacy in the name of someone in your life who loved animals, it would help us so very much. We can also use help with fostering, adoptions, flight angels and donations of medical supplies.
