An Introduction to Neighboring El Pitillal with PEACEAnimals PEACEAnimals | |
December 24, 2021 |
Puerto Vallarta is well known as a tourist destination with many sights and activities, but most tourists do not wander far from the beaches. El Pitillal is one of the areas not on the list of places to explore during their visit, however Pitlillal is the largest municipality within Puerto Vallarta’s jurisdiction. The delegation was established in 1975 and has grown to a population of 80 thousand inhabitants since then.
It was mainly formed by people that arrived from surrounding areas to collect the “coquito de aceite” but later changed to agriculture and cattle-raising, and now more and more, commerce and industry.
Pitillal is a dynamic and bustling community where you can find just about any product or find shops to repair just about anything from cars to electronics.
The PEACEAnimals clinic this week was located in the heart of Pitillal on Calle Abasolo, where we had a good turnout from the Pitillal community.
Thanks to the cooperation of local organization Bienestar Animal who assisted in securing the site in the garage of a residence and promoting the clinic. And THANK YOU to Faye Cardenas and Keith Cowan who donated $1,400+ USD to sponsor the Clinic.
Pitillal Sterilization Count:
• 10 Male Dogs
• 37 Female Dogs
• 32 Male Cats
• 38 Female Cats
• 117 total
By Owner Request, 3 dogs and 1 cat had pregnancies terminated, 20 animals not born to suffer.
Donations 4,250 pesos
