Getting to Tequila

The fastest way to get to Tequila is from Guadalajara, Mexico’s second-largest city. If traveling by bus, the journey takes about an hour and a half; close enough for a day trip, yet far enough away to feel like an escape from the city. The ‘Tequila Plus’ bus station offers multiple departure points for Tequila and the buses usually leave every hour so it’s super easy to plan your trip ahead of time. Note: Those looking to visit Tequila from Puerto Vallarta will need to travel to Guadalajara to take the bus or rent a car for the four-hour drive to the city as there are no direct buses from Puerto Vallarta.
