The Ministry of Education of the Government of Jalisco (SE) informs that Monday, classes resumed for students in public and private basic education schools (preschool, special, preschool, elementary and high school), who from Monday, January 3 to Friday, January 15, after the winter vacation period, learned under the distance learning modality.

Schools whose campuses are not able to receive their students will continue to provide distance education services and those with groups of more than 40 students or without cross ventilation will work in a hybrid manner, that is, attending 50 percent of the enrollment for one week, while the other 50 percent carry out activities from home.

Families who voluntarily decide not to take their children to school should self-manage their learning and inform the corresponding educational authority to agree on the process of evaluation and delivery of work.

To reduce the risks of contagion by COVID-19, the agency urges the entire educational community to continue applying the protocols and measures established by the health authorities:

• Correct and widespread use of masks
• Frequent hand washing and application of antibacterial gel
• Maintaining social distancing
• Cleaning and disinfection of spaces, surfaces and objects of common use
• Adequate ventilation of spaces.
