Mexico’s Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit have endorsed their commitment to continue their joint tourism campaign.
The initiative will reach global markets in order to continue positioning these important tourist destinations, which have become favorites of travelers around the world.
The agreement between the Public Fund for Tourism Promotion and Advertising of Puerto Vallarta and the Tourism Promotion Fund of the State of Nayarit, was signed by the Minister of Tourism of Jalisco, Claudia Vanessa Pérez Lamas and the Minister of Nayarit, Juan Enrique Suárez del Real Tostado, who manage a joint portfolio of $3 million that will: Support the promotion of each of the tourist destinations in the Mexican Pacific at the international level (principally the United States, Canada and Europe), an alliance that will continue to work strategically as both tourism brands receive more visitors.
Without a doubt, this synergy will give excellent results to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit destinations that in 2021 only achieved about 20,542 flights to Puerto Vallarta International Airport, which provides visitors to the region, resulting in 1,135,700 passengers arriving on both tourist itineraries.
So far this year, the international airport has received 6,824 flights and more than 314,050 passengers, allowing to see high expectations during 2022 for Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.
Puerto Vallarta International Airport has achieved a successful revitalization, having so far rebounded in the majority of national and international flights, as well as the integration of new routes benefiting connectivity to potential markets.
Both destinations continue to operate continuously and this was demonstrated during the 2022 edition of Gala Puerto Vallarta – Riviera Nayarit, where important business meetings with major wholesalers are held, to ensure room nights are sold out in the upcoming holiday seasons.
