The city has reopened the Cuale River vehicular bridge located in the downtown area of Puerto Vallarta, which was damaged after the passage of Hurricane Nora.

The work was carried out by the Secretariat of Infrastructure and Public Works (SIOP) and had an investment of 60 million pesos.

The Government of Jalisco reported that another 30 million pesos were also invested in the reconstruction of La Rivera street, which was affected by the natural phenomenon, and a total of 430,000 pesos were delivered in support to affected merchants in the Río Cuale municipal market.

The governor commented that the work also contributes significantly to the reactivation of the commercial and tourist area.

“Jalisco has the capacity to face adversity, nature hit us very hard and we have had the capacity to organize ourselves to respond to the demand of the people and to be able to not only rebuild this bridge but to make it better than it was in order to articulate the commercial activity of the area and that people can recover this space”.

He added that works on all infrastructures are still supervised that was damaged by Hurricane Nora.
