Vallarta Pride is now a week-long annual event that pays tribute to the LGBT community. The pride celebrations May 26-30 include arts and cultural events, concerts, films, beach parties and a lot of fun outdoor performances to show the world the fabulous diversity of Puerto Vallarta.
Vallarta Pride was created to showcase all the unique elements that have made the resort town one of the top destinations for the international gay community.
Where to Stay for PV Pride
• Grand Miramar – Luxury suites and superb facilities. Less than 1km from the center.
• Olas Altas Suites – Perfect location, great suites and friendly service. 600 meters from the center.
• Casa Isabel – 4 Star boutique hotel, large rooms and beach views. 700 meters from the center.
The Pride Parties
• Events kick off with a opening parties across all of the resort’s main gay bars and clubs together with The Pride Week at Mantamar Beach Club from the 23rd to the 30st of May. The beach club is situated along the famed Los Muertos gay beach in charming Zona Romantica. Live acts will perform at the Eden Club, The Mantamar and at The Top Bar over 5 days.
• The Sky Top Bar typically hosts The Pink Dinner on opening night with live DJ, fireworks, a four course dinner and the “Pride Vanguard Award” presented by the Vallarta Pride Committee.
• Industry Night Club will host Puerto Vallarta’s Circuit Pride Festival over 4 nights, from the 27th to the 30th of May.
The Main Parade
Typically the main parade takes place on the final Saturday, 28th May 2022 from 6pm, leaving from the Hotel Rosita, followed by a party in the park at the Lazaro Cardenas Park Gardens.
Gay Hotels in PV
• The iconic ocean-front Almar Hotel is known for its signature turquoise canvas lounge chairs that mark the gay section of the beach front. The popular beach-side resort is located in the gayborhood ‘Zona Rosa’ just a stone’s throw away from the entertainment of downtown Puerto Vallarta. The recently opened Almar Towers and Eden Pool Club, with stunning infinity views over the bay, are the perfect place to enjoy your Puerto Vallarta Pride escape.

• Condos are a more popular and flexible option, especially in the gay district.
Puerto Vallarta’s Gay Scene
With over 20 LGBT nightlife venues to enjoy, ranging from local watering holes to thumping super-clubs, the party never stops in PV. All of the gay bars are within walking distance of each other in the Romantic Zone in the heart of PV.
La Noche Bar, Mr Flamingo, Candy Bar, One Six One and many of the other gay bars will also host special events.
Yelapa will host a Yelapa Pride Beach Party on Wednesday May 25, noon-5:00pm. Yelapa will be the smallest Mexican town to ever host a pride event. We’re just a boat ride down from PV. Complete transportation info will be posted at the link above.
