Puerto Vallarta heat is here and the humidity envelopes me as I walk in Old Town. I see dogs panting on the streets. Water supply is low for these animals except for rain water. If you are here in Vallarta and have the chance to give them some water in a little bowl you can leave in a spot you see these animals, it would be great.

It has come to my attention that in a previous newsletter, I talked about the Cuale Cats and that people have been leaving their cats at the Isla and bringing street cats to our clinics thinking we are rescuing cats at PEACEAnimals.

PEACEAnimals is SPAY/NEUTER ONLY. WE are not a rescue group.

Abandoning animals is against the law and cruel. Every rescue group in Puerto Vallarta and all surrounding areas are completely full and most are not accepting more animals at this time. Please do not leave them expecting that someone will take care of them. The Isla is not a dumping ground for animals.

The Isla is going through a change and being cleaned up and new vegetation with new trees and tables for people to relax. Also the Friday artisan market is coming back to the Isla. The cats are not welcome to live there. I apologize for the confusion my newsletter may have caused.

PLEASE stop leaving these animals on Isla Cuale.
