On August 19, the Municipal Institute for Women will bring together municipal and state agencies and civil organizations to inform the population about the services they offer.

Next Friday, August 19, the main square of the El Pitillal delegation will be the scene of the First Health and Prevention Fair, organized by the Municipal Women's Institute, whose objective is for those who attend to obtain information about the services offered by the different agencies that exist in Puerto Vallarta.

The director of the Institute, Marisela Joya Camacho, informed that the event will be held from nine in the morning and is expected to conclude at one in the afternoon, following the instructions of the municipal president, Professor Luis Alberto Michel Rodriguez, to provide support to the population.

"We are holding this event to inform the population about the services offered by different official agencies, both from the municipality and the state, as well as civil associations," he said.

She explained that in the Municipal Institute of Women, when approaching women who require support, it has been detected that in many occasions they do not have the precise information to know which agency or organization to approach, "they do not really know what is the function of these, due to lack of knowledge they do not know which area to go to and in this way we hope to increase their services."

For this reason, he indicated that the municipal government will have the participation of personnel from the DIF System, the Social Prosecutor's Office, the Municipal Council for Disability (COMUDIS), the Municipal Institute for Youth Services (IMAJ), COMUSIDA, Medical Services and SEAPAL. On behalf of the state, the Center for Women's Justice, the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences and the Jalisco Ministry of Health. In addition, some civil organizations have confirmed their participation, among which are the Center for Juvenile Integration (CIJ), College of Psychologists, CAPA, among others.

Of course, the event will also serve to reaffirm the purpose of the Municipal Institute of Women, which undertakes actions that address the various problems in gender equity, work focused on generating development opportunities to positively transform the living conditions of women, including informative talks, legal and psychological care.
