Kids Club Classes Begin a New School Year in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle John Whitten - Amigos de la Cruz

Now in our new space, Langosta 27, across the street from the Kindergarten and near the Plaza

Last week we inaugurated our new building initiating our “after school” program for 2022-23 school year. In La Cruz, students either attend school in the morning or afternoon. Therefore, Kids Club is offered the other half day. We welcomed a record number of 45 students to the program this year.

It was satisfying to see the glee of the students as they explored the freshly painted spacious facilities and classrooms that enable the teachers to make all of our books, games, and materials visible and accessible.

We enjoyed ice-breaker activities on the patio on Thursday. Many new faces were present, it is amazing to be able to expand our services to so many more children and parents in the community.



We offer many new opportunities this year including History and Culture, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), swimming, adding to our existing Dance, Music and Art programs. Our team of teachers include Lilly Alcantara, Alejandra Rubboli and John Whitten.

We are also welcoming parent volunteers to help with supervision, teaching and maintenance.

Classes: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM

• AM KIDS Club serves the PM Primaria (Elementary, grades 1-6) students
• PM Kids Club serves the AM Primaria (Elementary, grades 1-6) students
