Grupo Ecologico Requests Help to Save the Marine Turtles

We hope this letter is finding you hale, hearty and happy. Likewise, our marine turtle program is in excellent shape, our dune buggy has been overhauled, we now have a new Can-Am to collect nests, the box nursery is being rebuilt, and all the apartments are in good condition. We are totally ready to take on this coming nesting season with your help!

We do have one key problem, though. Currently we are short by 8 volunteers. We could really use volunteers with prior experience and on-the-job knowledge. Among our 240+ former volunteers, I'm hoping that some of you may be willing to bring your skills here once again.

It is painful to beg for help, but at this point I am. The good news is that to date we have enlisted 12 former volunteers, including several from the far past such as Cheryl Jones and her family, and Nick Sanders. The bad news is that we're still short by 11 people.

All our volunteer apartments were recently refurbished. Each apartment has two bedrooms, a full kitchen and bathroom, washing machine, high-speed fiber optic Internet, bedding, and towels. Our town is growing in many ways, with interesting new coffee shops, tea and snack bars, breakfast choices and several organic food spots.

Interested applicants or former volunteers can join us by going to our application page and sign up for this coming 2023 season. Details about volunteering can be found in our online Handbook of Information. If you can't pitch in this year, I'd appreciate you passing this along to your friends on social media.

To help volunteers find an open apartment or room, look at the chart below.
