We are winding down the school year at the Kids Club. With all of our major projects completed, this is a good time to enjoy some unstructured time playing games, working on jigsaw puzzles, free reading, and enjoying the sports field.
The children are also working on their art portfolios that will be presented to parents on the final day of classes June 30th. The children have also decided that they want to create another play for the final day they have titled "The Fisherman and the Mermaid" so they are busy writing the script, and making costumes and scenery.
We have scheduled the annual summer camp this year for July 24th to August 11th. We have some new and interesting workshops and activities planned for the kids this year. Stay tuned to the Amigos de la Cruz Facebook for more details.
The Amigos de La Cruz Kids Club is a non-profit organization that provides educational, recreational, and social programs for children in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nayarit. The club was founded by a group of local residents who were concerned about the lack of opportunities for children in the community.
