A crew member aboard a superyacht has gone viral after revealing several strange requests that she was asked to perform including watching somebody eat to having a passenger ask a crew member to poop on a glass table.
Giselle Azueta, 39, told NeedToKnow.online that she started working on a superyacht after one of her friends invited her aboard a ship they were working on.
According to the Puerto Vallarta native, her family already owned a yacht so she knew how to sail from an early age.
“I always liked the sea very much and traveling is my passion,” said Azueta. “I never imagined that it was a career that existed so when I discovered it, but it soon became a dream to work as a stewardess on superyachts.”
Azueta revealed that her first job was on a rented ship and that she found it very stressful but later admitted that eventually, she got the hang of it.
“I am in charge of making all the purchases for the crew, the guest preference list, decoration purchases and guest amenities,” explains the head stewardess. “I love to plan the events and theme dinners! But I also have to supervise the laundry and housekeeping hostesses, as well as being in charge of the yacht’s administration and accounts.”
Documenting all of her travels on TikTok, Azueta disclosed some of the strange requests she’s received while aboard.
The head stewardess revealed that employees are forced to comply with the guests’ requests nearly all the time.
“You can never use the word ‘no’, in the industry, any request, no matter how strange, crazy or strange it may seem, is our duty to do so,” stated Azueta. “As long as it is not sexual or threatens the health or life of the crew.” The stewardess said that the yachting industry has really helped her grow as a human as well as made her fiercely independent.
