Opening the doors of Entreamigos to the community and its visitors comes with mixed emotions. There is the joy of seeing hundreds of children every day enjoying a safe and inspiring space, along with the excitement of all the staff who worked hard for two weeks cleaning, painting and creating new spaces.

There is also the challenge of continuing to build together a community that embraces change and cares for life in all its forms. San Pancho is a paradise that we love and that we take care of. We begin this new cycle with a lot of creative ideas to continue promoting an education that motivates us to participate and take responsibility for the future of all of us.

We invite you to continue collaborating together in an open space for the community and its visitors. Thanks to those who make it possible with their contributions, volunteer time, donations, hands, hearts and minds. We believe it is possible to give the best of ourselves for this community. We know it will be an excellent new cycle.

Welcome Back!

We would like to extend a very warm welcome back to our dear community members. We are so excited to open our doors again and welcome you all. We have been so busy getting the building cleaned and prepared to receive all of you again for a new season. After many days of painting, sweeping, and dusting off the library books, we are ready for a new chapter. We've missed your presence and the shared moments that make Entreamigos feel like home. This season we will create new memories, learn together, and continue to build the strong bonds that make our community truly special.

Community Support for Education

Entreamigos is proud to offer various programs to support the youth in San Pancho. This August we initiated a new cycle for the 2023 / 24 scholarship program. We handed out 229 backpacks full of school supplies, while also helping with costs for school uniforms. There are three different groups that we focus on.

Becas (Scholarship Group): The Becas are a group of scholarship students, totaling 83 students through out primary, secondary, high school, and into University. These students are sponsored by various people who have generously offered to provide funding for each individual student. Sponsors can support a student over many years. The money donated for a scholarship student goes to paying for school uniforms, school fees, supplies, backpacks, tutoring after school, and social emotional learning.

Grupo Selva (Jungle Group): This group is similar to the scholarship group and receives school uniforms, supplies, backpacks, tutoring after school, and social emotional learning. This year we are happy to announce the addition of students in secondary school. There are 31 students in this group in primary and secondary school. In addition to all of this, they also have a field trip once a month to open their world view and work on interpersonal skills.

This group is sponsored completely by Spark Ventures. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for this incredibly generous contribution to our programs. Your commitment to Entreamigos is truly commendable and we are grateful to have you as a partner in our mission to support the education of local children.

Assistencia Social (Social Assistance): Entreamigos also offers assistance throughout the year when children need it most. Students in this group also received 115 new backpacks and supplies for the school year.
