Becas Vallarta Season Fundraisers Begin with Fashion Show Brunch Polly G. Vicars - Becas Vallarta

Becas Vallarta is beginning our fundraising season on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Mangos Beach Club with a brunch and a Liverpool fashion show featuring prominent men and women of Puerto Vallarta.

This fun occasion will begin with complimentary Sangria followed by a sumptuous brunch of Cream of Carrot Soup, Chicken Breast Stuffed with Cheese and Spinach, and a Mixed Green Salad. I sampled this brunch and believe me it is delicious!

Becas Vallarta is a scholarship foundation sponsoring local students who have great potential and almost no financial assets. Becas has been helping these children for more than 50 years is currently funding the education of 421 students – 116 in junior high, 187 in high school, and 116 in university this school year.

Although this is the most students we have ever funded, we still have long waiting lists - which can only be filled by our endeavors to raise more funds.

There will be a raffle of the fabulous prizes donated by our local businesses who, year after year, support Becas in this and many other ways. Vallarta business owners agree with Becas in our belief that education is the key to the success of young people and these young people are the key to our future. We are indebted to each of them and to each of our supporters who come to these events.

The event begins at 11:00 am at this chic beach club right on the Bahia de Banderas and will be over at 2:00 pm. The tickets are 300 pesos and must be purchased or reserved in advance. They are beginning to sell fast, so get yours before it is too late!
