Boutique Theatre in Vallarta Announces 2012-2013 Season
The season for Boutique Theatre kicks off with "Oleanna" on November 23 and ends with "Chicago: The Musical" on April 6, 2013, with a great variety of entertainment in between
No Name Productions presents "Oleanna"
Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet’s most controversial drama of power and pedagogy is rife with emotionally charged issues, mysterious motivations and challenging questions of what is true.
Filled with electrifying dialogue, blazing emotion and a climax that will leave you talking for weeks, "Oleanna" is topical, relevant and provocative.
In this riveting drama a college professor and his female college student become embroiled in a war of words and wits that catapults their serene campus and personal lives into a battleground for justice and retribution.
Oleanna tackles the dicey issues of sexual harassment, political correctness, the manipulation of power, and the potential destructiveness of miscommunication and misconception. This incisive Mamet masterpiece, which recently completed its run on Broadway, continues to instigate fierce debate – AND DARES YOU TO TAKE A SIDE....if you can.
Produced by Norma Schuh, Directed by Edoardo Rocha, Featuring: Michael Gibney (A.K.A Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd of Best Little Whorehouse in Texas/Boutique 2012) and Maria Fontanals (Visiting guest actor from New York City's HB Studios).

Written and Directed by David Lloyd Austin.
This is the true story of a woman who shared great intimacy with the married Samuel Clemens for many years of his life.
Travelling the world together, sharing his ups and downs, Miss Bessy opens the window to a man who is a true American hero.
Based on actual facts, you will learn the real story of Mark Twain and his Miss Bessy. But the BIG surprise is that Mrs. Clemens approved of their relationship!
A question and answer period will follow the performance.
Staring the dynamic Christy Ann Beguesse, whom you thoroughly enjoyed as Judy Garland.

Written by Jerome Lawrence & Robert E. Lee, directed by Karrie Sebryk MA.
Auntie Mame is by no means deep or rich in morals; it is a simplistic comedy. But comedy is definitely the operative word!
Every act of this outrageous play beholds a new story, each one more ridiculous then the last.
As the incredibly fluid and spirited sybarite who, nonetheless, gives her orphaned nephew an abundance of attention and love, she succeeds in creating a creature as comically engrossing as a clown, and yet possessed of surprising little pockets of tenderness that every now and then she suddenly opens and empties of a touching largess.
Show schedule is January 2–5, 9–12, 16–19, 23–26, 30 & 31; February 1 & 2, at 8:00 pm. Ticket donation is 250 pesos.
No Name Productions presents "The Long Weekend"
With considerable misgivings, the husbands of two long-time gal pals begrudgingly consent to spend a weekend in the country together as a foursome, an inevitable recipe for disaster, given that the men secretly cannot stand one another, and – below the facade of syrupy "friendship" – the women resent and irritate one another.
Petty jealousy, professional insecurity, snide innuendos and sophomoric rivalry combine for an amusingly tense atmosphere of passive aggressive one-upmanship, shocking discoveries/ revelations, twists, turns and antics that keep the audience reeling, as the truths and lies of relationships come to the surface.
For a little sex, a dose of sass, lots of snappy repartee, a bunch of belly laughs and proof positive that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence, put The Long Weekend at the top of your entertainment bucket list!
By Norm Foster, Directed by Edoardo Rocha, Produced by Norma Schuh and Michael Gibney.
Performance dates are February 20-23 & 27-28; March 1-2 & 6-9, at 8:00 pm. Ticket donation is 250 Pesos.

An army may run on its stomach, but a performing arts venue runs on the benevolence of Volunteers, Patrons and Donors. With a six-month income season, but twelve months of expenses such as rent, electricity and maintenance, the Boutique Theatre depends on ongoing volunteer and financial contributors to keep this fine facility open.
