On December 29, 2012, the Punta Sayulita Foundation will be sponsoring the second in a series of free children's art classes this season at the Punta Sayulita Beach House with local artist, Treva Dea, of Sayulita Art Camps.

The theme of this art class is Mexico's colorful paper flower history as children will learn to craft beautiful paper flowers to bring home.

All children are welcome to drop-in any time between 10:00 - 5:00. The admission is free.

About Treva Dea

"I was born in Alaska and grew up Texas. I've always been attracted to artistic expression, of most sorts. I studied sculpture and painting in Austin and Houston, and I played with the groups Kangaroo Kourt and Mauve Sideshow for a few years. That was a fantastic way to allow the voices in my head to have a very literal outlet.

I moved to Seattle in the late 80s and focused on the other side of my brain with Comparative History of Ideas, Comparative Religion, History and Women's Studies at UW.

I awoke to the World of Mom in 1999 and picked up an older daughter along the way. They constantly inspire me as to my beliefs and create art in every moment of my existence.

From 2008 to the present, I've been creating and implementing an art program for the children of Costa Verde International School in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico."

Grab the kids on December 29, head to Sayulita and bring a bit of sunshine inside with a bouquet of hand made flowers.

The Punta Sayulita Beach House is located at Caracol #2, Sayulita, Nayarit. Telephones are U.S. Toll Free, (866) 947-6017 or locally at (329) 291-3957.
