Eagles Wings of Puerto Vallarta, Impulso de Aguila A.C., a non-profit organization, is setting a precedent in our society by supporting more than 30 institutions dedicated to social assistance, as well as promoting the inclusion in society of persons with physical disabilities.
We have established workshops to teach our disabled citizens new skills in repairing and restoring items to be used by the less fortunate in the community.
Our mission is to support the professionalization of civil society organizations with free consultations and guidance that will help the growth for the benefit of the population served.
Looking forward, we strive to be recognized as the civil association in Banderas Bay responsible for the consolidating of help, support and encouragement to our organizations.
Our objectives are to create sources of financing and support programs in favor of civil associations which have as their objective the provision of various social welfare services.
We strive to ensure the strengthening of civic associations in internal affairs, administration, accounting, tax and legal organization to be recognized before the three levels of government bodies.
We believe in promoting and organizing courses and workshops to train or provide grants for institutional strengthening for members of the civil associations.
We support dissemination of the services and activities of the civilian organizations registered in the society through different means and alternatives: fairs, congresses, conferences, workshops, forums, promotional campaigns, social networks, etc.
We manage all kinds of support for the benefit of institutions dedicated to social assistance, contributing to improve the conditions of subsistence and development of the same.
Impulso de Aguila operates a thrift store in the local Puerto Vallarta neighborhood of Lomas del Coapinole.
There are many ways you can help. The Impulso de Aguila Thrift Store is the perfect place to send your household items that you no longer use. They have workshops where they train workers, including those with disabilities, in the repair and reusability of these items.
If you have items of furniture to donate and would like to see exactly where they go to and which families and/or local charities will benefit, Impulso offers an excellent service.
They are always in need of household items including towels, linens, microwaves, coffee makers, toasters, lamps, mirrors, window coverings, televisions, furniture and more.
They can arrange to collect the items and then take them to the non profit thrift store in Coapinole that receives the items and sends them out to needy families first (for free) and any that are not immediately needed are put on sale at low prices to benefit low income families in the area who are not able to afford new items.
The proceeds of these sales are used to benefit over 30 local charities that are affiliated with Impulso.
If you have items you would like to donate, please contact the Administrator, Cesar Sanchez, via email at email@example.com.
They encourage you to visit the store and do some shopping while donating to those less fortunate.
The Impulso de Aguila Thrift Store is located in Lomas del Coapinole Colony, Francia #622 (at the corner of 21 de Marzo), Puerto Vallarta, telephone is (322) 299-4040. They are open daily from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.
For monetary donations, we have more than thirty organizations that rely on donations and grants for their existence. It is our hope that you see the great poverty and needs of those who have so little.
As generous as our donors are, we never have enough to provide assistance to all of the worthy organizations asking for our help. I should point out that any group asking for aid is carefully screened and must provide receipts for each dollar they spend.
One of the requirements for the use of grant money is that it must be spent to help people directly. It cannot be used for such things as salaries or administration.
We hope you will make a donation. Anything you give will be greatly appreciated.
These donations can be made through our San Diego office of the Eagles Wings Foundation. Please specify that funds should go to Impulsa de Aguila in Puerto Vallarta, make checks payable to "Eagles Wings Foundation" and mail to:
