American Legion Post 12 Banderas Bay seeks to enhance the well-being of America’s veterans, their families, our military, and those living in Puerto Vallarta and the greater Banderas Bay area by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.
Commander’s Message
On behalf of the e-board and general membership of Post 12, I would like to welcome you into the Legion family here in warm and sunny Puerto Vallarta, MEXICO! Since the new e-board and I assumed our post positions in March of this year, we have been hard at work over at Post 12 helping our nation’s veterans and their family members access and navigate the various benefits, programs, and resources available to them through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Post 12 holds its regularly scheduled monthly meetings on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 2:00 at Murphy's Irish Pub.

Renewing Your Membership Online
It's fast and easy to renew your American Legion membership online. Meanwhile, it's slow and difficult for the local post here in Puerto Vallarta to process your membership when paid here at the post with a check or cash. So help us eliminate the paperwork and response time by renewing at the American Legion website. Go to their Renew Membership page, sign in with your membership number and last name, make sure you put in Post 12, and then follow the payment instructions. You may then pick up your new membership card at Murphy's Irish Pub after a short waiting period. Or you may print it out directly from the site, print, and laminate it yourself and you're set.
VA Foreign Medical Program (FMP) Registration
If you are a disabled veteran living or traveling abroad, you might be surprised to learn that the VA has a program to assist you with the cost of health care services, medications, and durable medical equipment for all of your VA-rated service-connected medical conditions, and any medical conditions associated with and/or held to be aggravating a service-connected medical condition, while you are living or traveling abroad.
